After an incredible day of mishaps, we arrived in Spain for tonight's festival gig. To start things off, we missed our flight in Frankfurt Hahn (fischer price my first airport) on RyanAir (fischer price my first german airline), meaning we had to pay a lot of money extra to catch a flight 7 hours later. To make matters worse, the weight restriction on baggage was so absurdly low, we were only able to fly with merchandise and a keyboard. So, our performance was basically doomed from the get go. There are terrible fires here in this area of Spain, so a lot of roads are closed, and we're told some bands and attendees are in standstill traffic. Still, the gig was amazing. The crowd was very enthusiastic, which just goes back to the amazing Spanish way of life and its impact on its people. I just wished we were able to play well, but without any of our equipment (especially jared's keyboard), it was nearly impossible. We all wish we could have stayed here longer than just one day. Despite all these mishaps, we are all quite happy with the fact that we were able to come back to Spain, and that we saw old friends from Deutschland, Italia, and France. Back to the airport to get back to Braunschweig.

The heat wave is no joke! I take back what I said in any prior posts about us media. The gig tonight was most impressive in regards to us not passing out. The American in me wants to complain about the lack of air conditioning for extremes like today, but I simply must get over it. The small club called teensforcash was packed full of people having a good time despite the 100 plus degree all humidity gig. It is great to see old friends Nic and Frank. Tomorrow we hope to do some sight seeing in this lovely town (my goal is to hike up to the castle in the centrum). Rumor has it tomorrow will cool off, so we can only hope this is true, as Frankfurt's gig tomorrow will be very crowded we're told. Flying to Spain thursday is something we're all looking forward to! P.S. nutella and banana on bread is brilliant!!! More soon...
